Canopy preparation

The following guidelines are designed specifically for the Align T-Rex, but the decal application instructions can be followed for other models too.

Trim around the canopy using a pair of lexan scissors, these are designed for cutting model car body shells.

Cut out the air intake using a sharp knife. NOT in one cut, simply score down each side several times and the middle will come out clean.

The canopy is designed for the screen area to be cut away and the screen to be screwed/glued in place. An alternative is NOT to cut away the screen area (this retains strength) . Before you trim the screen paint the INSIDE using a model car body shell spray paint. Or you can use the 'carbon look' screen.

The screen is then simply stuck to the canopy with a cross of glue (you can purchase 'Hi-tac' glue from us, it can be beneficial on the 'carbon look' screens as when gently warmed with a hairdryer the screen can be removed to use on another canopy).
